Abstract

The present invention discloses a resource reservation method, a billing failure processing method and a policy making point. Wherein, a network element receives service requests from users, requiring a resource reservation policy from a policy making point. The policy making point formulates a resource reservation policy according to account data of the user and returns the resource reservation policy to the network element. Thus, the network element executes the resource reservation policy to reserve resource for the user. The policy making point conducts resource reservation according to account data of the user, thus avoiding influencing services due to failure to take user account data variation into consideration for prior arts, ensuring more overall resource reservation basis and better customizing course of resource reservation.
