Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for reinforcing the predecessor of the broadband wireless communication system based on the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technique, wherein each wireless frame of original system is added with a new preamble symbol. The invention also discloses a cell searching method of the mobile terminal in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technique. The method comprises the steps of frame synchronizing, frequency synchronizing, extracting and recognizing the cell ID group signal, and extracting and recognizing the cell ID in-group signal. The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system transmitting end preamble reinforcing method and a cell searching method according to the invention increases the detection probability of the preamble and the adapting range of the system to the frequency offset through arranging novel preamble at the vicinity of the original preamble and designing the preamble which has symmetric time domain and is provided with PN sequence. Through the introducing of the cell grouping information, the number of the cells supported by the system is greatly increased. The realization is simple and the cell searching time is short.
