Problems solved by technology

[0006] However, during breast radiation therapy, patients begin to worry about their position during treatment. Most radiation therapies require patients to lie on their backs, but magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the most sensitive and specific examination for patients, requires patients to lie prone. In view of the inconvenience of the supine position, it is recommended that women with fuller breasts be placed in a prone position during radiotherapy. The results show that after women with fuller breasts receive radiotherapy in a prone position, the breast area with more doses is reduced, and the lungs in the radiation treatment area are reduced. The heart also showed a decrease in tissue area, and the results of the 4D CT database analysis of 3 patients showed that the average movement of the chest wall was less than 1 mm after the patients received internal the

Embodiment Construction

[0044] The present invention provides a breast tissue fixation method and device for breast imaging and breast treatment. The device can maintain the precise geometric relationship between breast, chest wall, imaging table or treatment table during imaging and treatment.

[0045] In FIGS. 1 and 2 , the first method of the present invention is implemented, that is, a schematic structural diagram of using a double-layer negative pressure breast-fixing cup to fix the position of the breast. The device includes a breast-fixing cup 1, which is communicated with a vacuum source 12, and FIG. 2 In the cup assembly 1, the surface of the cup assembly 1 is a double-layer structure that is adhered to each other, usually in a concave shape (or a parabolic structure), which is intended to accommodate human breasts, and the inner layer 7 includes a concave-shaped hard shell with densely distributed perforations. 10. The outer layer 8 is a concave hard shell, which is slightly larger in volume...

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for breast fixation in prostration type radiotherapy for breast. The device comprises a double-layered breast fixation cup, the inner and the outer layers of which adhere to each other on the upper edge; and a space is formed between the two layers. As perforations are densely distributed on the inner cup and the outer cup is airtight, during the applying of negative pressure by the space between the two layers, mammary gland epidermis adheres to the wall of the inner wall to prevent the device from sliding upwards. In addition, by utilizing a device strapped on the torso of a patient to tightly strap the cup components on the torso of the patient, and meanwhile fixing the double-layered breast fixation cup on a bed supporting the patient in a locked manner, the geometric relationship among the cup, the breast wall, an image bed and a treatment couch can be fixed and restored accurately. Therefore, the invention provides a unique method of placing the systematic three-dimensional stereotactic orientation device and breast in a coordinate system which is in a circle fixing geometric relationship with the positioning cup.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to radiotherapy equipment, in particular to a breast fixation method and device in human breast prone radiotherapy during breast imaging or treatment. Background technique [0002] Breast cancer is the most common malignant disease in women. Nearly 211,000 breast cancer cases were diagnosed in the United States in 2006, according to the 2006 Global Cancer Facts and Figures published by the American Cancer Society (ACS). In North America, a woman has a 1 in 7 lifetime chance of developing breast cancer. [0003] It is reassuring that, due to women's awareness of breast cancer protection and routine physical examination, most breast cancer patients can be diagnosed at the early stage. Lumpectomy is performed on patients 6 to 8 weeks after radiotherapy (mostly radiating the entire breast). Although BCT therapy is very effective, the minimally invasive surgery and prolonged radiation process have severely compromised the liv...
