Problems solved by technology

Some scholars have modeled the normalized code rate of multiple reference images as a function of the reference interval, but the expression is very complicated and is a nonlinear function of the parameters to be estimated, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the parameter estimation

Embodiment Construction

[0024] The compression performance evaluation method of hierarchical B prediction structure is:

[0025] Expressing B-picture compression rate as a two-parameter linear model related to the reference interval, R B = R I ×(θ 1 +θ 2 log(D 1 ·D 2 )), the two-parameter linear model is aimed at the B picture containing two reference images, and the distance between the B picture and the two reference images is D 1 and D 2 , R I and R B Respectively, under the same encoding conditions, the output code rates of I-picture and B-picture encoding are respectively, θ 1 and θ 2 For the two parameters to be estimated, the parameters can be obtained by the least squares estimation method, and different video sequence parameters are different;

[0026] For a video sequence, compare the compression performance of B-picture when different references are selected, and the compression rate model of B-picture can be simplified as D 1 ·D 2 , only compare the product of its two referenc...

Abstract

The invention discloses an evaluating method of compression properties of a layered B forecasting structure. A two-parameter linear model is used, and the compression code rate of a B image is expressed into a function of a reference interval of the B image. For a video sequence, the comparison of the compression properties of the B image under different reference selections can be simplified into mode of comparing product of the reference intervals. The overall compression property of the layered B forecasting structure is expressed into the summation of the code rates of all images in an image set. Particularly, when the properties of different B forecasting structures are measured under the same image set length, an evaluating model is simplified into the product of the reference intervals of all the B images. In the method, the properties of the B images and the layered B forecasting structures are evaluated through the two-parameter linear model so as to overcome the defect of high complexity of nonlinear models. During comparing the properties among different forecasting structures under the given image set length, parameters can be further omitted, thus the method has simple and practical value.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of video coding, in particular to a method for evaluating the compression performance of a layered B prediction structure in the field of video coding. Background technique [0002] Compared with analog video, digital video has many advantages such as high quality, easy processing, easy correction, large capacity, and many programs. With the continuous improvement of people's demand for video quality and benefiting from the advancement of technology, digital video has been more and more widely used today. [0003] However, the amount of information contained in digital video is very large, which requires high storage capacity and bandwidth of transmission network. In order to make digital video more effective, compression coding is the first problem to be solved. For this reason, academia and industry have carried out extensive and in-depth research in the field of video compression coding technology. At present, t...
