A Hall sensor array for offset-compensated magnetic field measurement comprises a first and at least one additional pair of Hall sensor elements. Each Hall sensor element has four terminals, of which two act as power supply terminals for supplying an operating current and two act as measurement terminals for measuring a Hall voltage. Respective first supply terminals of each Hall sensor element are connected together and to a first terminal of a common voltage source and respective second supply terminals of each Hall sensor element are connected together and to a second terminal of the common voltage source so that the common voltage source supplies an operating current for the Hall sensor elements. The Hall sensor elements are operated in the spinning current mode so that the offset voltages of the Hall sensor elements approximately cancel one another out in a revolution so that the Hall signal contributions which actually depend on the magnetic field remain.

Methods and apparatus for providing fault tolerance in a surveillance system

A coordinated surveillance system uses a larger number of fixed low resolution detection smart camera devices and a smaller number of pan / tilt / zoom controllable high resolution tracking smart camera devices. The set of detection cameras provide overall continuous coverage of the surveillance region, while the tracking cameras provide localized high resolution on demand. Each monitor camera device performs initial detection and determines approximate GPS location of a moving target in its field of view. A control system coordinates detection and tracking camera operation. A selected tracking camera is controlled to focus in on, confirm detection, and track a target. Based on a verified detection, a guard station is alerted and compressed camera video is forwarded to the guard station from the camera(s). The guard station can direct a patrol guard to the target using GPS coordinates and a site map. Redundancy is provided by using multiple control units, each able to handle the full load in the event of failure. Camera devices vote on the status of the control units. A failed detection camera device can be temporarily replaced by a tracking camera device in a back-up mode of operation thus maintaining full overall basic coverage of the surveillance region.

The invention relates to a method for transmitting a plurality of antenna signals in a wireless Base Transceiver Station (BTS) using Remote Radio Head (RRH) technology and the corresponding system. The method includes the steps of: transmitting signals over the transmit channel using Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) / Optical Transmission Network (OTN), multiplexing the plurality of antenna signals adopting the manners of time division multiplex or GFP frame-level multiplex; forming the multiplexed antenna signal stream and in-band control signaling stream into Generic Framing Procedure (GFP) frame; or forming the plurality of antenna signals and the plurality of respective control signals on the in-band control signaling channel into a plurality of respective GFP frames in parallel; and further mapping the GFP frames to STM-N / OTM-n frames, therefore multiplexing the plurality of antenna signals and the in-band control signaling stream to realize the SDH / OTN-based transmission. According to the invention, in the circumstance of using a plurality of antennas for transmitting signals, the strict time and phase relations between various antenna signals can be ensured, and also system complexity can be simplified, the transmission delays from various antenna signals to CBTS are totally the same.

By the system and the method, trusted computation, the configuration management of the TPCM, the backup / recovery of the BIOS / MBR / OS Loader / OS Kernel and the physical protection of key data are realized on a firmware layer. In the scheme provided by the invention, the complexity of an algorithm through which a base station end selects the cellular users for resource multiplexing is simplified, and the interference between the D2D user pairs for multiplexing resources and the cellular users is reduced to be lowest, so that the whole frequency spectrum efficiency of the system is improved. In addition, for the method, the practical operability is very strong, the implementation is easy in practice, and the application modes are more flexible.
