Abstract

The invention relates to an implementation method of a videophone system among IPTV set top boxes, which is a method for developing the videophone system on IPTV set top boxes. The scheme mainly extends the value added service function of the IPTV set top boxes, and the depended hardware platform is DaVinci TMS320DM6446 which is oriented to the video developing field and provided by a TI company. The implementation method comprises the following steps: taking a DM6446DVEVM development kit provided by the TI company as a hardware platform; respectively collecting and capturing audio data and video data; carrying out video coding and decoding on the video data by a high-performance video coding and decoding technology H.264 of digital signal processing DSP; processing the audio data by a microprocessor ARM in a soft coding and decoding mode through directly calling a voice compressing standard G.711 coding and decoding algorithm; taking a user datagram protocol as a transmission layer protocol for the network transmission of the audio data and the video data; and carrying out real-time transport protocol packaging on an application layer.
