The testing apparatus has simple manufacture, high measurement precision and accurate temperature control, satisfies the requirements of freeze and thaw collapse of the soil sample and can be used for measuring the expansion and shrinkage amount and the volume change of various frozen and thaw collapsed soil textures in civil engineering.
