The cholesteric liquid crystal layer of the liquid crystal electronic paper displayer comprises a viscous spacing material and a nonviscous spacing material, wherein the main ingredient of the viscous spacing material is the mixture of epoxy resin glue or UV-cured UV adhesive and a spacing material. In the manufacturing method of the liquid crystal electronic paper displayer, the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in a focal conic state in a liquid crystal cell through the treatment at a high temperature which is about 10 DEG C higher than the clearing point of the liquid crystal. In the non-display part, the focal conic state forms a display background, so the high contract of the display part is realized. The liquid crystal box with the structure can realize the mechanical impact resistant liquid crystal electronic paper displayer by adopting either a hard glass substrate or a flexible plastic substrate. In the invention, the high-contract liquid crystal electronic paper displayer is manufactured by adding the viscous spacing material and adopting high-temperature treatment, and the contrast of the liquid crystal electronic paper displayer is improved to 1.2 to 1.3 times that of the conventional liquid crystal electronic paper displayer made of the same liquid crystal material.
