Abstract

Currently used safety valve is usually a thin metal sheet disposed on an end cover, and is discarded with the opening of a battery. According to the invention, a mounting groove is disposed on an injection-molded battery cover plate, and an exhaust vent is opened at the bottom of the mounting groove. A valve cover and a spring are disposed in the mounting groove, wherein an air outlet is opened on the valve cover, and the side wall of the valve cover is in threaded connection with the upper side wall of the mounting groove. A valve core comprises, from up to down, the following three parts in turn: a spring positioning pin, a sealing sheet, and an adjusting pin for an inverted truncated cone body. The upper end of the spring is in movable connection with the bottom surface of the valve cover, and the upper end of the spring is in movable connection with the sealing sheet part. The safety valve of the invention has recoverable functions, can greatly improve the safety of a lithium ion battery, prevents shell-expansion phenomenon of the battery, and effectively prolongs the service life of the battery.
