Problems solved by technology

If it is provided in unicast mode, only 2 radio resources are needed, and C, D and E cells do not need to transmit corresponding MBMS services because there are no users; if it is provided in MBSFN mode in E-UTRAN, 5 radio resources are required , that is, one block for each cell, because it is provided by MBSFN, even if there are no users in C, D, and E cells, services must be transmitted on the corresponding resources; and the MBSFN method involves a series of operations such as synchronization of base stations. also increases the complexity of the system
[0005] In the current E-UTRAN system, only a one-way mechanism is designed for MBMS services, that is, there is only a feedback mechanism from the network to the terminal, and there is no terminal-to-network feedback mechanism, so the network cannot obtain users who are receiving a certain MBMS service in the cell Therefore, it is not possible to deactivate the push mode of the MBSFN service of the MBMS service according to the number of users, or switch to transmit the MBMS service to each user in a unicast transmission mode, so as to maximize the use of wireless resources

Embodiment 1

[0084] In this embodiment, the implementation process of the method for improving wireless resource utilization is divided into network side processing and user terminal processing. For specific procedures, see Figure 4 , Figure 5 .

[0085] see Figure 4 , Figure 4 It is a flow chart of network-side processing of the method for improving radio resource utilization in the first embodiment of the present invention. The process includes the following steps:

[0086] In step 401, the MCE initiates an instruction to each cell base station in the MBSFN area to feed back the reception status of the MBMS service A.

[0087] This step is performed when the MCE feels it is necessary to make statistics on the reception status of the user terminal of the MBMS service A.

[0088] Step 402, after each base station receives the instruction, it sends an order requesting to feedback the reception status of MBMS service A in MCCH.

[0089] After the base station sends out the command,...

Embodiment 2

[0106] In this embodiment, by collecting statistics on the receiving status of MBMS service A of the user terminal in the RRC connection state, the implementation process of the method for improving the utilization of radio resources is divided into network side processing and user terminal processing. For specific procedures, refer to Image 6 , Figure 7 .

[0107] see Image 6 , Image 6 It is a flow chart of the network side processing of the method for improving the utilization rate of wireless resources according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The process includes the following steps:

[0108] Step 601, the MCE initiates to each cell base station in the MBSFN area to request feedback of the MBMS service A reception status indication, and at the same time indicates the request to count the situation when the radio resource control (RRC) is in the connected state, and provides the RRC connection state probability factor.

[0109] Step 602: After rec...

Embodiment 3

[0120] This embodiment is the statistics of the receiving status of MBMS service A of the user terminal in the RRC idle state. Compared with the second embodiment, the statistical state is different. Since the user terminal RRC state is in the idle state, when the user terminal feeds back to each base station that it is When receiving the information of the MBMS service A, the RRC idle state is changed to the RRC connected state first, and the implementation process of the method is the same, so it will not be described in detail.

Abstract

The invention provides a method for improving radio resource utilization rate in multimedia broadcasting and multicasting services (MBMS). The method comprises the steps of: A. transmitting feedback/service receiving state order related to an MBMS service by a network side to a user terminal, wherein the MBMS service is distributed in a mode of broadcasting and multicasting single frequency network (MBSFN); B. feeding the service receiving state back to the network side by the user terminal when receiving the MBMS service; C. collecting the user terminal which feeds back the feedback/service receiving state by the network side so as to obtain the quantity of users who are currently receiving the MBMS service; and D. making a comparison between the quantity of the users and a preset threshold by the network side; if the quantity of the user is less than the preset threshold, activating the push mode of the MBSFN service of the MBMS service, or switching the mode into a single-casting mode to send the MBMS service. The method provided by the invention can utilize the radio resource at the maximum limit.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a communication technology, in particular to a method for improving the utilization rate of wireless resources in multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS). Background technique [0002] With the development of the third-generation mobile communication technology, the third-generation mobile communication can provide services with a higher data rate than the second-generation mobile communication, thereby supporting various business forms, such as video calls, picture downloads, and high-speed Internet browsing. Among them, the characteristic of one type of service is that the service can allow the wireless network to send data to multiple users who have subscribed to the service at the same time. For example, weather forecasts, news clips, sports highlights and so on. Utilizing the characteristics of simultaneous transmission of these services, the third generation mobile communication system introduces MBMS services from...
