Abstract

A new / recycled plastic layered compatible co-extruded color profile and method for forming the same are disclosed. The profile is formed by a new plastic layer and a recycled plastic layer through layering compatible co-extrusion; and the new plastic layer covers the recycled plastic layer. The new plastic layer is formed by adopting new polyvinyl chloride plastics, while the recycled plastic layer is formed by adopting recycled white polyvinyl chloride plastics. The new plastic layer accounts for about 20% of the total weight of the profile, while the recycled plastic layer accounts for about 80% of the total weight of the profile. The new plastic layer of the layered compatible co-extruded color profile provided by the invention has a certain thickness so that the recycled plastic layer is not exposed from the surface in the use process of assembling and welding the profile. The recycled plastics are covered by the new plastics so that appearance shortcomings in recycling the used plastics for fabricating the profile are overcome, and simultaneously, material waste due to applying the new plastics to fabricate the profile completely is reduced.
