Embodiment Construction

[0020] Hereinafter, some terms appearing in the present invention are briefly explained first.

[0021]MBSFN (Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network, Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network): Multi-cell broadcast mode. In this mode, MBMS service data is simultaneously transmitted through the air interfaces of multiple strictly time-synchronized cells. A user terminal receives and combines synchronization signals from multiple cells. In fact, if each transmission from multiple cells arrives at the user terminal within the cyclic prefix (CP) at the beginning of the symbol is sufficiently strictly synchronized, then the MBSFN transmission is equivalent to the transmission from a single large cell for the user terminal , the user terminal receiver can treat multi-cell transmissions in the same way as it handles the multipath component of single-cell transmissions.

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for counting MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) in a distributed MCE (Multicast Coordination Entity) architecture. The method comprises the following steps of: a mobility management entity sending counting request information of MBMS user terminals to various administered base stations belonging to the service region, wherein various base stations respectively integrate respective MCE functions; receiving counting response information of the MBMS user terminals from various base stations, wherein the response information is used for respectively feeding back whether various base stations correctly receive the counting request information of the MBMS user terminals to the mobility management entity; receiving counting result reports of the MBMS user terminals from related base stations in various base stations; according to the counting result reports of the MBMS user terminals, determining whether to transmit at least one MBMS in a specific multimedia broadcasting single-frequency network in a manner of multimedia broadcasting single-frequency network; and sending session starting or ending information of the MBMS to corresponding base stations according to the determined result.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the network architecture of distributed multicast coordinating entities, in particular to the method and device for counting the user terminals interested in or receiving MBMS services in the distributed MCE network architecture. Background technique [0002] The current 3GPP TS 36.300 standard defines two eMBMS architectures, one is a centralized (centralized) independent multicast coordination entity (Multicast Coordination Entity, MCE), which is independent of the base station (eNB), and one MCE manages its multiple base stations under its jurisdiction; the other is a distributed MCE integrated in the base station, such as figure 1 shown. This distributed MCE architecture is designed for simple static use or temporary configuration of an evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) at the initial stage. The distributed MCE can accelerate the operator's deployment of the eMBMS service in the LTE network. ...
