Method and device for counting MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) in distributed MCE (Multicast Coordination Entity) architecture

The invention provides a method and a device for counting MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) in a distributed MCE (Multicast Coordination Entity) architecture. The method comprises the following steps of: a mobility management entity sending counting request information of MBMS user terminals to various administered base stations belonging to the service region, wherein various base stations respectively integrate respective MCE functions; receiving counting response information of the MBMS user terminals from various base stations, wherein the response information is used for respectively feeding back whether various base stations correctly receive the counting request information of the MBMS user terminals to the mobility management entity; receiving counting result reports of the MBMS user terminals from related base stations in various base stations; according to the counting result reports of the MBMS user terminals, determining whether to transmit at least one MBMS in a specific multimedia broadcasting single-frequency network in a manner of multimedia broadcasting single-frequency network; and sending session starting or ending information of the MBMS to corresponding base stations according to the determined result.

Methods and devices for enhancing continuity of multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) through improvement of X2 interface

The invention provides methods and devices for enhancing the continuity of an MBMS through improvement of an X2 interface. Among the methods, a method for providing MBMS information to at least one second base station in a first base station includes the steps of obtaining dispatching information for the MBMS of the first base station, and obtaining an MBMS identification transmitted by the first base station and a multimedia broadcast single frequency network area identification which transmits the MBMS, wherein the at least one base station is adjacent to the first base station, the dispatching information of the MBMS indicates the first base station to dispatch MBMS transmission on at least one multimedia broadcast single frequency network sub-frame; and providing the MBMS information of the first base station for the at least one second base station according to obtained dispatching information of the MBMS. The MBMS information of the first base station includes information related to the dispatching information of the MBMS, and the multimedia broadcast single frequency network area identification and the MBMS identification.

A method for dynamically adjusting a multimedia broadcasting single frequency network area relates to the technical field of communication. The method can divide a cell into a single frequency network center cell alpha with MBMS users, a single frequency network edge area beta with the MBMS users and a single frequency network edge cell gamma without the MBMS users according to whether MBMS user distribution exists. The method comprises the steps of sequentially comparing the MBMS user number of the single frequency network edge area with the MBMS users in the cell and sequentially checking the contribution degree of a cell without the MBMS users at the edge on the whole single frequency network. If the MBMS user number is larger than the threshold value, a single frequency network transmission mode of the cell is opened, or the target cell is classified as a cell set without the MBMS users. The MBMS users in the cell can be selectively borne through PTP or MBSFN to provide MBMS service. By means of user distribution and contribution degree, the method can reasonably and dynamically adjust an MBSFN area, prevents unnecessary cell resources from being kept and meanwhile improves wireless spectrum efficiency.

Method and device for realizing frequency resource sharing in EMBMS (Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service)

The purpose of the invention is to provide a method and device for realizing frequency resource sharing in an EMBMS (Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service). The method particularly comprises the steps of: obtaining mapping relationships between one or more MBSFN (Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network) sub-frames allocated in a wireless frame of a current MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) service and a multicast channel; calculating a communication volume of each multicast channel within a multicast channel scheduling period based on a mapping relationship; obtaining frequency resource configuration information practically needed by the last MBSFN sub-frame in each multicast channel; and sending the frequency resource configuration information to UE (User Equipment). Compared with the prior art, the method and device for realizing frequency resource sharing in the EMBMS avoid waste of the frequency resource as frequency resource sharing between different MCH (Multicast Channels) is realized through configuring the frequency resource practically needed by the last MBSFN sub-frame in the one or multiple MBSFN sub-frames allocated in the wireless frame of the MBMS service. Furthermore, the method and device for realizing frequency resource sharing in the EMBMS also can add the number of the MCH supported by 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project based on occupation information of PRB (Physic Resource Blocks) of the same MBSFN sub-frame of the wireless frame occupied by different MCH, and provide help for a network operator and a content provider to increase the network volume of the MCH and improve transmission performance of the real-time service.
