Abstract

The invention discloses a method for configuring multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) synchronization, which comprises the following steps of: a network side device receives a synchronization control frame from a broadcast multicast service center (BM-SC), wherein the synchronization control frame carries the load conditions of data frames in the synchronizing sequence; the network side device determines the composition information of a radio link control (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU) according to the load conditions of the data frames in the synchronizing sequence; and when the data frames are lost, the network side device determines that the transmission of the data frames needs to be stopped according to the composition information of the RLC PDU. By using the invention, the out-of-step base station in the multimedia broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) region can regain synchronization when continuously losing the synchronous data frames without influencing the transmission of subsequent MBMS services, thereby effectively enhancing the experience of the users receiving MBMS services in the MBSFN region.
