The smartphone-based HART handheld operator comprises a smartphone with a smart operating system, a storage card with HART configuration software, and an HART wireless communication interface with a wireless communication function. The storage card is disposed in the smartphone. The smartphone is communicated with the HART wireless communication interface by means of WIFI (wireless-fidelity). The HART wireless communication interface is communicated with HART field devices through standard HART communication protocol. A user can communicate with HART field instruments conveniently with the smartphone which is widely popularized, and accordingly the handheld operator has the advantages of flexibility, portability, practicality, high cost performance and the like. A complete HART master station data link layer is built in the wireless communication face, so that the handheld operator is compatible with all HART field devices.
