An architecture of the method comprises a server side and a client side; the server side consists of two compatible heterogeneous database platforms which are respectively called an original database platform and a new database platform, and the compatibility of the database platforms comprises data types and SQL (Structured Query Language) sentences; the client side consists of the application program and an application program loader, and the application program accesses the database platforms by using an ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) and OLE DB (Object Linking and Embedding Database) mode and is connected with the database platforms by using an ADO and OLEDB connection character string; and the application program loader starts the application program, searches from a memory, replaces a database connection character string of the application program, and closes the running of the application program.
