The automatic distorted fingerprint detecting method includes subjecting a fingerprint image to ridge line circle analysis, acquiring circle standard difference of the fingerprint image, analyzing direction field information of the fingerprint image, acquiring normal curvature average value and tangent curvature average value of the fingerprint image; integrating the circle standard difference, the normal curvature average value and the tangent curvature average value to obtain torsion resistance of the fingerprint image. Distorted fingerprint is hard to identify by existing automatic fingerprint identification technology, while the automatic distorted fingerprint detecting method only needs one distorted fingerprint image to judge distortion degree and has the advantages of good compatibility, low data demands and convenience in algorithm.
