Abstract

A sequence-association-based query method for personal computer files includes: automatically monitoring operations on files in a personal computer, automatically acquiring an access sequence of a user for the files in the personal computer, and establishing a sequence association map between the personal files according to the access sequence; based on entered keywords, acquiring a set of files, with names matching with the user-entered keywords, by a string matching method, using the set of files as an initial query result set, and further calculating a more comprehensive query result by means of the sequence association map based on the set. Personal desktop file query is combined with the sequence association of file assessing by a user, and the solution is provided for the query according to users' demands by means of file access sequence association. The method is simple, practical and easy to implement. The time of searching files is greatly reduced for users, querying the personal desktop files is facilitated for users, and users' query needs in particular scenes can be met.
