Embodiment Construction

[0013] figure 1 The end region of the spiral cable 1 is shown, including the entraining body 2 fastened thereto.

[0014] The spiral cable 1 has a core 3 made of twisted wire. The core 3 is wound with a helix 4 which is wound very firmly around the core 3 and can thus absorb high forces in the axial direction of the core 3 .

[0015] The helix 4 ends at 5 , ie before the end 6 of the core 3 . The in-between end regions of the core 3 are not occupied.

[0016] This unoccupied end region of the core 3 passes through the bore 7 in the bore part 8 of the entraining body 2 . Arranged at the end of the core 3 is a stop body 9 which is fastened to the core 3 . In the exemplary embodiment shown, the stop body 9 consists of deformable metal and is fastened to the core 3 by impacting on the notches 10 . The stop body bears with one side against the end of the hole part 8 , while the other end of the hole part 8 rests against the end 5 of the helix 4 .

Abstract

A pitched cable having a flexible core around which a coil is wrapped. The flexible core includes an end area which protrudes beyond the coil and passes through a hole of a carrier. The carrier bears at one end of the hole against an end of the coil, and at an other end of the hole against a stop body fastened to an end of the core. An end region of the coil is provided with a metal casting that encloses the coil and the core. Mutually abutting surfaces of the metal casting and of the carrier can be formed with a positive-locking engagement, which prevents relative twisting between the metal casting and the carrier about the core. The metal casting can be formed as a zinc die casting.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a helical cable having a flexible core wound by a helix. The illustrated cores are typically constructed of multiple counter-wound wires. A helix of wire is wound around the core with a constant pressure. The drive body fastened at one end is used for connection to an element to be driven, for example a sliding roof of a motor vehicle. Background technique [0002] A large force acting axially along the cable is transmitted to the sliding roof via the helical cable and can be carried out both during opening and closing of the sliding roof (i.e. in both directions). )produce. To this end, it is necessary to fasten a driving body with a corresponding load capacity on the helical cable. [0003] In a known construction that is common on the market, the core protrudes from the helix at one end of the helical cable and passes through the bore of the driver in the region of this end. Towards each end of the bore, the end of the ...
