The method comprises the following steps: 1) material collection is selected in a dahongpao tea strain, branches which are born in the same year are shorn and taken, and full buds on the branches which are born in the same year are taken as scions; 2) grafting of tree stock seedlings is carried out, two-year dahongpao tea and wild prickly ash seedlings serve as tree stocks, the tree stock seedlings are planted in the year before the grafting according to 40cm*25cm planting space, before the grafting, small braches of the tree stock seedlings and the tip portion higher than 60-65cm of a trunk are cut out, the grafting is carried out at the 20cm position of the trunk, after the grafting, sealing and moisturizing are carried out through plastic thin film strips, and the grafting is carried out on the buds to enable the buds to be exposed out; 3) stingless prickly ash seedlings are preferably selected from the stingless prickly ash strain selected out from the grafting seedlings which are born in the same year, then number editing, listing and recording are carried out, multi-generation repeated grafting is carried out on the stingless prickly ash strain, and finally the stingless prickly ash strain which is stable in performance is cultivated.
