The decoction is prepared from the following crude medicines: 15g of rhizoma cyperi in vinegar, 15g of raw malt, 9g of rose, 9g of Armeniaca mume, 10g of white paeony root, 15g of arillus longan, 9g of fruit of Chinese magnoliavine, 15g of medlar, 15g of root of red-rooted salvia, 10g of pinellia ternate, 9g of juncus roemerianus, 9g of bamboo leaf, 10g of fructus forsythiae, 15g of albizia flower, 12g of rhizoma nardostachyos, 18g of dragon's teeth, 30g of arabic cowry shell and 6g of roasted liquorice. The decoction is prepared by soaking the traditional Chinese medicines mentioned above in 1500ml of water for 1 hour, decocting for 30min by slow fire, and filtering to remove dregs. The decoction disclosed by the invention, which integrates various medicines, is direct in effect to treat insomnia, good in effect, and in particular is optimum in effect on treating emotional insomnia.
