The method includes: connecting a PowerGood signal of the power supply with the logic chip CPLD and an Enable signal of the power supply is capable of being connected with the logic chip; identifying whether the power supply functions properly by the logic chip and the logic chip is capable of identifying results according to data both from an enabling module which is connected with the Enable signal of the power supply and a data collection module which is connected with the PowerGood signal of the power supply; storing the results temporarily in a register, and then transforming the results to a managing chip of the server by an input / output module; transforming the situations of the power by the managing chip through an outward interface which is supported by the managing chip to receiving devices of users.
