The service discovery method and device based on the 6LoWPAN comprises an initialization step which includes that a host respectively completes route discovery and host address registration; a service registration step which includes that an SA (service agent) announces a service time which can be provided to a border router; service inquiry step which includes that a UA (user agent) seeks SA information which can provide services for the border router, the border route sends service inquiry response messages to the UA, and application interaction is performed between the SA and the UA.
