According to the communication and recognition method, through control over brightness of the mine lamp, simplex communication from the mine lamp to a video receiving end is completed by using an underground wired communication network and an underground video collecting system which are built already in most coal mines, so that mine lamp recognition for a user is completed. The communication and recognition process is simple, effective, high in electromagnetic interference resistance and high in robustness, it is unnecessary to individually add a wireless communication base station and the wired communication network underground to use a communication system of the communication and recognition method, and therefore the communication and recognition method has the advantages of being low in cost, simple in structure of system equipment, easy to implement and the like; underground workers can be tracked and monitored rapidly and effectively, which is beneficial to management of a safety production manager.
