Abstract

The invention discloses a gateway, and a gateway hot backup system and method. The gateway comprises a processor, a gateway interface and a storage. The processor comprises an input module, a configuration module, an analyzing module, a storage module and a forwarding module. The gateway hot backup system comprises at least two gateways which include a primary gateway and a secondary gateway. The primary gateway is connected with the secondary gateway. The primary gateway and the secondary gateway are connected to a joint lower computer and a joint upper computer. The primary gateway forwards acquired data packets and backs up data packets on the second gateway. The secondary gateway replaces the primary gateway when the primary gateway cannot operate normally. The gateway and the gateway hot backup system have the advantages that fast switching during gateway faults can be achieved, and integrity of forwarded data can be guaranteed.
