Abstract

A dry type desulfurization filter used for diesel engine exhaust and a preparing method thereof are disclosed. The dry type desulfurization filter is carrier-free, has a thickness of 0.1-5 mm, and is a porous device comprising 60-90% by mass of a desulfurization material and 10-40% by mass of silica sol. The desulfurization material is one selected from MnO2, Fe2O3, CaO, CaCO3, Ca(OH)2, MgCO3, K2CO3 and Li2CO3. The dry type desulfurization filter needs no carrier. Most of the dry type desulfurization filter is the desulfurization material. The desulfurization capacity is obviously increased. The pressure difference between two ends of the filter is reduced. A diesel engine is increased in combustion efficiency and enhanced in power performance. The space velocity is low, and desulfurization performance of per unit of the desulfurization filter is improved. By adding carboxymethylcellulose in a preparing process, the desulfurization material can be easily mechanically processed into a honeycomb pore structure or a triangle pore structure, a quadrilateral pore structure, a hexagon pore structure, and other polygon pore structures.
