Abstract

This washing machine (1) is provided with: a washing tank (2) which houses an object to be washed; a washing device which washes the object to be washed (7) by way of wash water; a heater (8) which heats the wash water; a temperature detection unit (10) which detects the temperature of the wash water; and a control unit (9) which controls a series of washing operations which are a washing step, a rinsing step, a heated rinsing step, and a drying step. The control unit has a configuration which, in the washing step and / or the heated rinsing step, upon detection of a first predetermined temperature by the temperature detection unit, performs heater control which repeatedly powers-on and powers-off the heater on the basis of pre-set setting times until elapse of a predetermined amount of time.
