Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for automatically checking a company name, wherein the method comprises following steps: dividing the company name into four parts that are a trade name, an industrial term, an administrative division and an organizational form; a user inputs the trade name; and a name checking system checks the trade name inputted by the user based on laws and regulations and the established rules. The system is constituted of five parts that are a portal site entrance, a company name independent reporting network application, a company name checking center, a company name similarity comparing center and a distributed-type data storage. Through the system, the company name can be applied independently when a company is registered; and at the same time, through the technologies of the similarity analysis and the text intelligent search and comparison, the reasonability of the company name is ensured, thus improving the efficiency and the accuracy of checking the company name.
