The distribution transformer optimal selection method realizes integration of energy saving performance and economical performance of capacity selection of the distribution transformer by comprehensively comparing each cost in the whole life cycle of the distribution transformer; and meanwhile, the fault risk of the distribution transformer under the overload condition is taken into consideration, so that the corrected whole life cycle model is allowed to meet the practical situation better, and the method provides more reliable data support for the optimal selection of the distribution transformer.
