Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to the field of wireless communication, and in particular relates to a method and device for determining three-dimensional beam pre-coding information, used for performing three-dimensional beam forming. In the embodiment of the invention, network equipment determines an optimal first beam forming vector at first; then, an optimal second beam forming vector is determined from a second beam forming vector set corresponding to the optimal first beam forming vector; and channel measurement is carried out through a formed pilot frequency, such that optimal pre-coding information in the second dimension is determined. The optimal beam forming vector is determined from the beam forming vector set based on the coarse granularity at first; then, the optimal beam forming vector is determined from the beam forming vector set based on the fine granularity; therefore, the purpose of determining the optimal fine-granularity beam forming vector and the optimal pre-coding information can be achieved without measuring all fine-granularity beam forming vectors; compared with the prior art, the system resource cost is reduced; and thus, the complexity of the terminal is reduced.
