The feed additive is characterized by being prepared through uniformly mixing and compounding the following raw materials in parts by weight: 10-20 parts of haws, 15-25 parts of motherwort, 15-25 parts of Chinese wolfberry fruits, 20-30 parts of radix astragali and 15-25 parts of VE. The mass percentage of the additive for promoting the gonadal development in released feeds is 0.08-0.10%. The feed additive has the advantages that the gonadal development and the growth of the adult blue crabs can be obviously promoted, the addition quantity of the feed additive in the feeds is only 0.08-0.10%, the survival rate of the blue crabs can be increased by 6-10%, the average weight can be increased by 20.8-24.3%, the gonadal index can be increased by 15.8-17.4%, the bait coefficient is reduced by 1.93-2.1, and the color of crab cream is improved.
