The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a file of an object to be displayed; when determining that the storage format of the file of the object to be displayed is not an identification storage format, converting each graphic element of the object to be displayed into attribute data in a data warehouse through an interpreter; converting the attribute data in the data warehouse into graph drawing data through an arithmetic unit; and drawing the graph shape of the object to be displayed through a graph renderer according to the graph drawing data of each graphic element. According to the configuration graphic element display method and device, the data warehouse, the arithmetic unit and the graph renderer are adopted and then the files which are not in the identification storage format are displayed, so that the problem that the configuration image resources are incompatible is overcome and the system resources are effectively integrated.
