Abstract

The invention provides an optical module connecting apparatus and an optical module assembly. The optical module connecting apparatus comprises a shielding mechanism which is used for shielding light emitted by a laser from a housing sending port, is arranged at an optical sending port of a housing, covers the sending port of an optical module and is connected with the housing through a rotation connection mechanism; the rotation connection mechanism which is used for connecting the shielding mechanism with the optical module, enables the shielding mechanism to rotate to a second position from a first position around a connecting position between the shielding mechanism and the optical module; the housing which is provided with a space for accommodating the optical module and is provided with openings as the sensing port of light and the receiving port of the light; and a pull ring which is arranged at the housing opening, is disposed between the shielding mechanism and the sending port, can rotate around a connecting position between the pull ring and the housing, and is used for tightening and loosening connection between the housing and the optical module. The optical module assembly comprises the optical module and further comprises the optical module connecting apparatus provided by any one embodiment of the invention. The mechanism and the assembly provided by the invention can prevent or reduce damage caused by an optical module laser to human eyes.
