The water-saving and efficient cultivation method for red flowers utilizing drip irrigation has following beneficial effects: the method is utilized for cultivation of red flowers so that water irrigation amount per mu is 70-100 m<2>; compared with the conventional cultivation, water can be saved by 440 <2>; yield per mu of red flower filaments can be up to 30-35 kg and red flower seeds per mu is 135 kg; compared with conventional cultivation per mu, the yield of filaments is increased by 15 kg; and the red flower seeds per mu is increased by 35 kg; the flower filaments is sold by 90yuan/kg; the red flower seeds is sold by 50 and yield per mu is increased by 1525 yuan; regardless of cost of 500 yuan/mu for drip irrigation equipment and water cost of 100 yuan, additional net profit per mu is 975 yuan.
