Abstract

The invention discloses a dispersive medium for suppressing distortion in a signal transmission process and a method thereof. The dispersive medium comprises a compensated dispersive medium which is mainly formed by a normal dispersive medium and an abnormal dispersive medium; the abnormal dispersive medium is connected to one side of the normal dispersive medium near a transmission exit along the transmission direction of electromagnetic waves; the normal dispersive medium is mainly composed of normal dispersion electromagnetic resonant units; the abnormal dispersive medium is mainly composed of abnormal dispersion electromagnetic resonant units; the normal dispersive medium is used to construct normal dispersion of signals; the abnormal dispersive medium is used to construct abnormal dispersion of the signals; and the negative group velocity (superluminal velocity) phenomenon of the abnormal dispersion is used to compensate the envelope distortion of the signals caused by passing through the normal dispersive medium. The dispersive medium for suppressing the distortion in the signal transmission process provided by the invention uses artificial dielectric materials to compensate the envelope distortion of the signals generated in medium propagation essentially in a microwave frequency band, has the characteristics of being high in precision and small in size, realizes signal dispersion compensation, and the application is wide.
