Abstract

The application discloses a response method and device for a service request. The method comprises the steps of: by a server, receiving the service request; acquiring each current operation parameter of the server; according to each operation parameter, determining a bearing capacity predicted value representing that the server processes the service request; according to the bearing capacity predicted value, determining a time-out period corresponding to the service request; and according to the time-out period, carrying out processing on the service request. Different from the prior art, the response method and device disclosed by the application predict out an operation state of the server after the server processes the service request according to each service request and an operation state of the server at a current moment so as to allocate the corresponding time-out period to the service request according to the predicted operation state. Such mode not only ensures that the reasonable time-out period is set for the fickle service request, but also ensures that the operation state of the server cannot generate an overload phenomenon.
