The method comprises the following steps: a first data processing apparatus receives to-be-backed up chronic disease data from a first server and converts the chronic disease data into binary codes; the first data processing apparatus controls a voice playing apparatus to play the binary codes; when the voice playing apparatus plays the binary codes, a second data processing apparatus controls a recording apparatus to record the played binary codes; and the second data processing apparatus identifies the recorded binary codes through a speech recognition algorithm and converts the identified binary codes into corresponding chronic disease data, and stores the chronic disease data in a second server. By implementation of the chronic disease data backup apparatus and method provided by the invention, the infectivity of network attack caused by direct data transmission can be avoided, when the first user is subjected to the network attack and crashes, the standby second server is not subjected to the network attack, and thus the data security between different servers is effectively improved.
