Abstract

The invention discloses a novel application of a traditional Chinese medicinal composition, and in particular relates to the application of the traditional Chinese medicinal composition in preparing medicines for preventing or treating alzheimer disease. The traditional Chinese medicinal composition comprises 6 weight parts of radix astragali preparata, and 1 weight part of radix glycyrrhizae preparata. After the traditional Chinese medicinal composition acts on an alzheimer disease pathological model of caenorhabditis elegans, the result shows that the traditional Chinese medicinal composition disclosed by the invention can remarkably delay the muscle paralysis phenotypes of the caenorhabditis elegans suffering from alzheimer disease, which indicates that the traditional Chinese medicinal composition has a remarkable treatment effect for caenorhabditis elegans suffering from alzheimer disease, namely, the traditional Chinese medicinal composition provided by the invention has the potential of treating alzheimer disease, and can be applied to preparation of medicines or health products for preventing or treating alzheimer disease.
