[0076] Figure 7 Curves 730 and 735 in show the elastic hysteresis characteristic exhibited by the SELF mesh of the present invention, the SELF mesh and the generated Figure 6 The SELF meshes of the middle curve 720 are substantially the same. The SELF mesh is tested for elastic hysteresis characteristics under the condition of applying 60% elongation. Curve 730 is the response to applied and released elongation in the first cycle, and curve 735 is the response to applied and released elongation in the second cycle. Figure 7 731 in is the relaxation of the force in the first cycle, and 732 is the permanent deformation expressed in percentage. It should be noted that the SELF mesh exhibits significant recoverable elongation or useful elastic properties under relatively low resistance after multiple cycles, that is to say, the SELF mesh can be easily stretched and contracted to a large extent. For the generation method of the elastic hysteresis characteristic curve, see the...

Abstract

The invention relates to a unitary disposable absorbent articles, such as disposable diapers and the like, that have a design that improves the wearer's comfort and skin health. Such absorbent articles include an outer covering, an absorbent core positioned within the outer covering, and a closure system joined to the outer covering for fastening the absorbent article on a wearer. The absorbent core has an absorbent core area. The absorbent article is designed to fit an infant having a rise dimension from about X to about Y, where rise dimension is defined as a distance from the infant's navel through the crotch area to the small of the back, and where Y represents the maximum rise dimension of the infant that the absorbent article is intended to fit. The absorbent article has an absorbency index i.e. ratio of absorbent core area to rise dimension, Y of less that or equal to about 95.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to absorbent systems, and more particularly to an absorbent system that provides a more hygienic and more comfortable feel to the wearer's skin by substantially reducing adherence and coverage to the wearer's skin. Background technique [0002] Infants and other incontinent persons wear absorbent systems such as disposable absorbent articles to absorb and store urine and other body exudates. Disposable absorbent articles serve two functions, one is to contain the exudates and the other is to isolate the exudates from the wearer's body, clothing and bedding. [0003] Although known disposable absorbent articles have expected functions, various disposable absorbent articles conventionally designed are not good in one or more aspects such as the absorption of body fluids, the prevention of soiling of the wearer's clothes, the comfort of wearing and the health of the wearer's skin. There are d...
