Abstract

The IGBT module protection device comprises a first current detection device, a second current detection device, an action device, a magnetic device and a standby diode, wherein the first current detection device, the second current detection device and the magnetic device are connected in series toform a loop; when the IGBT module works normally, the loop is disconnected; the standby diode is connected with a freewheel diode of the IGBT module in parallel; the first current detection device isused for detecting whether a current exists between the G electrode of the IGBT module and a driving circuit or not; the second current detection device is used for detecting whether a current existsin a flywheel diode loop of the module or not; and when the first current detection device and the second current detection device both detect the currents, the magnetic device is electrified to generate a magnetic field to attract the action device to act, the flywheel diode of the IGBT module is switched off, and the standby diode is switched on. When the flywheel diode of the module is broken down to cause a short circuit, a standby circuit is timely replaced by the protection device, so that the normal continuous operation of a system is ensured.
