The invention provides an optical storage firewood microgrid system and a control method thereof, wherein the system and the method are applied to the technical field of new-energy power supply. According to the method, a diesel generator system is controlled to operate independently to supply power and output load demand power; when it is judged that an optical storage system meets a switch-in condition, the optical storage system is controlled to switch in and output first shared power, and the diesel generator system is controlled to output second shared power; and when it is judged that the optical storage system meets the a switch-out condition, the diesel generator system is controlled again to independently operate to supply power and output load required power, and the optical storage system is controlled to switch out. According to the method, the first shared power is obtained based on the preset sharing proportion and the load demand power, the optical storage system can replace a fixed number of diesel generators, the method is suitable for the light storage diesel microgrid system comprising an old diesel engine power generation system, and the stability of the opticalstorage diesel microgrid system is improved.
