Problems solved by technology

However, since this requires repurchasing expensive special shoes, which also have to be reinforced, it is not very flexible, and because skiers feel that this system is not very flexible in terms of power transmission and driving experience, and when it is dirty with snow or ice. Operational aspects are not good enough so these systems cannot be successful in the market

Embodiment Construction

[0024] figure 1 In FIG. 1 , a first component of the ski binding according to the invention is firstly shown, which is indicated generally by the reference numeral 10 . The first assembly comprises a base plate 12 which is arranged and designed to be mounted on a snowboard and then lies flat against the snowboard with its underside. To this end, in the central recess of the base plate 12 there is provided a fastening disc 14, commonly referred to as a "mini-disk", which has mounting holes 14a for screwing in screws coupled to the ski, and which The retainer plate 14 is rotatable relative to the base to set the desired angle between the longitudinal axis of the snowboard and the longitudinal axis A of the base. A scale 14 b is also provided on the fastening disk 14 , by means of which the angle can be set precisely.

[0025] Furthermore, the first component 10 comprises a toe strap 15 extending substantially arcuate in the region of the front region 12a of the base plate axi...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a snowboard binding for coupling a snowboard shoe to a snowboard, comprising a baseplate (12), which is designed to be attached by means of fastening device to a snowboard and to sit flat against same, a highback, which extends substantially perpendicular to the baseplate (12), a toe strap (15), and an instep strap. The snowboard binding according to the inventionis formed in two parts, wherein the baseplate (12) and the toe strap (15) are associated with a first module (10) and the highback and the instep strap are associated with a second module. A couplingunit (20) is provided, by means of which the first module (10) and the second module can be releasably coupled to one another, the first module (10) being designed to remain on the snowboard in the decoupled state and the second module being designed to remain on the snowboard shoe in the decoupled state.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a snowboard binding comprising a base plate designed to be coupled to a ski by means of fastening means and to lie flat against the ski; a high back piece extending substantially perpendicularly to the base plate; a toe strap and instep straps. Background technique [0002] Such universal snowboard bindings are known per se and are used in pairs to connect the skis to the user, ie to couple with the skier's snowboard boots. In this known binding, the coupling between the binding and the shoe is generally carried out in such a way that the toe and instep straps, which are usually equipped with ratchets, are first opened and the shoe is then placed on its base on the predetermined position, and then thread the two kinds of straps and tighten them. However, in order to place the skis with the aid of the bindings, the user must sit down and usually wear gloves for the stringing and tightening process, which is cumbersome and inco...
