The evaluation method comprises the following steps: acquiring a first evaluation image acquired by an image acquisition device from a display surface of a to-be-tested display screen; wherein the display screen to be tested displays a preset gray scale image; determining the position of a first abnormal point in the first evaluation image; obtaining first brightness difference information according to the brightness of a first non-abnormal point except the first abnormal point in the first evaluation image; according to the first brightness difference information and a first mapping relation, obtaining a diverse mura level of the display screen to be tested under the current preset gray scale; wherein the first mapping relation comprises a mapping relation between different brightness difference information and different dirty mura levels under the current preset gray scale.
