Background technique [0002] Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin with the chemical name (+)-(6R,7R)-7-[2-(2-amino-4-thiazolyl)-2-{(Z)methoxy Imino}acetylamino]-3-methoxymethyl-8-oxo-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid-1-(iso Propoxycarbonyloxy) ethyl ester.
