Benefits of technology

[0007]A main object of the present invention is to provide a paper corner protector to overcome the shortages of the existing techs. Using the recyclable Kraft paper cardboard as the raw material, the present invention not only forms a corner reinforcement for using at the interior corners of a packing container by conveniently fol

Problems solved by technology

Although the above corner protectors, made of Styrofoam or plastic foam materials, have good buffer and shock absorbing ability, the raw material, i.e. the Styrofoam or plastic foam, is not designed for recycling.
Also, the plastic chemical material of the corner protector is difficult to be naturally degraded, and will generate a poisoned gas to the environment after the combustion processing, so as to harm the human body and the environment.
However, after the shaping process, the foam material

Example

[0030]FIG. 2 illustrates a second embodiment of the present invention, wherein the to corner protector, which is made of paper, comprises a corner reinforcement body 1 formed by folding a cardboard 2 edge-to-edge and defined an empty cavity 3 between two board walls of the corner reinforcement body 1. The corner reinforcement body 1 has a U-shaped cross section. The corner reinforcement body 1 further has a reinforcement bouncing groove 4 indently and longitudinally formed at each of the outer board walls of the corner reinforcement body 1 for preventing the deformation of the corner reinforcement body 1.

Example

[0031]FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrate a third embodiment of the present invention as an alternative mode of the second embodiment, wherein the corner protector has a U-shaped cross section. One side longitudinal wall of the U-shaped corner reinforcement body 1 is higher than the opposed side longitudinal wall of the U-shaped corner reinforcement body 1. An indention slot 5 is formed between the two side longitudinal walls of the U-shaped corner reinforcement body 1. The reinforcement bouncing groove 4 is indently and longitudinally formed at each of the outer board walls of the corner reinforcement body 1 for preventing the deformation of the corner reinforcement body 1.

Example

[0032]FIGS. 5, 6, and 7 illustrate a fourth embodiment of the present invention, wherein the corner protector, which is made of paper, comprises a corner reinforcement body 1 formed by folding a cardboard 2 edge-to-edge and defined an empty cavity 3 between two board walls of the corner reinforcement body 1, such that the space between the two board walls is empty to form the cavity 3. The corner reinforcement body 1 has a L-shaped cross section. The corner protector further comprises at least one reinforcing bouncer 6 disposed within the cavity 3. The reinforcing bouncer 6 has a longitudinal tubular structure and is made of paper. For the corner reinforcement body 1 having a L-shaped cross section and defining an opposite portion and an adjacent portion to form a right angled configuration, two reinforcing bouncers 6 are applied to the L-shaped corner reinforcement body 1. The two reinforcing bouncers 6 are disposed within the cavity 3 of the corner reinforcement body 1 within the ...

Abstract

A paper corner protector includes a corner reinforcement body (1) which consists of a cardboard (2) and a cavity (3), wherein the cavity (3) is formed by folding the cardboard (2) end to end. The present utility model enhances the convenience of cost during its transportation and decreases its storage space. Furthermore, a Kraft board is used as the raw material, which is recoverable and reusable and has water-absorbing capacity, so it meets the requirement of environmental protection. It can be expediently folded to become packaging corner protectors so as to be placed on the corners of a packing container such that it can provide favorable protective actions to the corners of the product in the container, such as buffer action, shockproof action and moisture proof action.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION[0001]1. Field of Invention[0002]The present invention relates to a corner protector, and more particularly to a paper made corner protector, which is able to be affixed at each of the interior edges of a packing container to protect home appliances or electrical products for shipping and handling.[0003]2. Description of Related Arts[0004]While transporting home appliances or electrical products, a plurality of corner protectors are commonly provided at each of the edges or corners in the packing box, in order to prevent any damage of the products due to an external force while transporting. Accordingly, the protection corners are made by foam material such as Styrofoam or foam type material, to securely transport the products by its characteristic of absorbing shocks.[0005]Although the above corner protectors, made of Styrofoam or plastic foam materials, have good buffer and shock absorbing ability, the raw material, i.e. the Styrofoam or plastic ...
