A mechanism for quick character changing in sand molds is disclosed. The mold is mounted on the upper part of the upper mold base. The mechanism includes a stripper plate, a
thrust block, a character striking rod, and a character quick-change key. The stripper plate is located below the upper mold base and is connected to the upper mold base via guide pillars. The
thrust block is fixed to the upper part of the stripper plate, and the character striking rod is also fixed to the upper part of the stripper plate. The lower part of the mold has an ejection hole for the character striking rod to enter. The character quick-change key is embedded in the upper part of the mold, and its embedded position matches the upper end of the ejection hole. The
thrust block limits the distance between the stripper plate and the upper mold base, so that when the stripper plate moves to its limit position, the upper end of the character striking rod is lower than the character quick-change key. The positions of the character striking rod and the character quick-change key are controlled by a detachable thrust block. During production, the thrust block is installed to limit the mold closing distance, and the top of the rod does not contact the character. When character replacement is required, the thrust block is removed, and the rod ejects the character after mold closing. This mechanism has high work efficiency, can be repeatedly implemented, and is suitable for quick-change requirements in production lines.
