HOST SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENFORCEMENT OF QUALITY OF SERVICE REQUIREMENTS FOR WIFI SENSOR APPLICATIONS

A method for enforcing Quality of Service (QoS) requirements in a WiFi communication network of a vehicle or other host system with one or more wireless sensors, i.e., WiFi or WiFi-enabled sensors, involves capturing wireless traffic on one or more channels of the network as captured WiFi traffic using a central coordinator (CC). O ) node of the network. The procedure involves identifying an access category (AC) of the captured traffic as corresponding to the sensor traffic, i.e., sensor operations of the wireless sensors. The CC OThe node assigns a higher priority to WiFi sensor traffic than to other wireless traffic on the channel(s). One or more QoS parameters can be changed, including an Arbitrary Inter-Frame Space Number (AIFSN), a wait window (CW) size, a transmit opportunity (TXOP) value, and / or a respective threshold for a Request-to-Send (RTS) frame and a Clear-to-Send (CTS) frame for the captured sensor traffic.

Method and device for retransmitting initial control response in wireless LAN system

PCT designated stageWO2026142197A1TelecommunicationsStation
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for retransmitting an initial control response in a wireless LAN system. A method performed by an electronic device operating as a first station (STA) in a wireless LAN network according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving an initial control frame (ICF) from a second STA; transmitting a first initial control response (ICR) to the second STA after a short inter frame space (SIFS) from a time point at which reception of the ICF is completed; and transmitting a second ICR corresponding to the first ICR to the second STA when a wireless medium (WM) is in an idle state until after a point coordination function inter frame space (PIFS) from a time point at which transmission of the first ICR is completed, and ICR retransmission is activated.

Host system and method for implementing quality of service requirements for WIFI sensing applications

A host system and method implementing quality of service requirements for a WIFI sensing application. A method for enforcing Quality of Service (QoS) requirements in a WiFi communication network of a vehicle or another host system having one or more wireless sensors, WiFi or WiFi-enabled sensors, includes detecting, using a central coordinator (CCo) node of the network, wireless traffic over one or more channels of the network as detected WiFi traffic. The method includes identifying an access category (AC) of the detected traffic as corresponding to sensed traffic, i.e., sensing operation of the wireless sensor. The CCo node assigns a higher priority to the WiFi sense traffic relative to other wireless traffic on the channel (s). One or more QoS parameters may be modified, including any inter-frame space number (AIFSN), contention window (CW) size, transmission opportunity (TXOP) value, and / or respective thresholds for request to send (RTS) frames and allowed to send (CTS) frames for detected sensed traffic.

Non-primary channel access (NPCA) operation with triggered uplink transmission

PCT designated stageWO2026101940A1Network topologiesStationUplink transmission
A station (STA) receives from an access point (AP) a beacon frame indicating a value of a multi-user (MU) enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) timer, where the MU EDCA timer indicates a duration of time during which the STA uses MU EDCA parameters for channel access. The STA starts the MU EDCA timer and switches from a primary channel (PCH) to a non-primary channel access (NPCA) PCH based on determining that a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) being received via the PCH comprises an inter-basic service set (inter-BSS) PPDU. After switching to the NPCA PCH, the STA sets an arbitration interframe space number (AIFSN) for an access category (AC) to zero and suspends EDCA on the NPCA PCH, based on the AIFSN being equal to zero, until the MU EDCA timer reaches a value of zero.
