Abstract

An indoor unit of an air conditioner, more specifically, a fan motor installation structure of the indoor unit of a wall-mounted air conditioner. The indoor unit includes: a fan for sucking and discharging indoor air; a fan motor for driving the fan; a base provided with a motor accommodation groove for accommodating the fan motor; and a support rib provided adjacent to the motor accommodation groove for supporting fan motor. The indoor unit, which includes a lower portion supporting the fan motor so as to prevent the fan motor from being disengaged from the motor receiving groove by the weight of the fan motor when the fan motor is assembled with the base or the air conditioner is operated, thereby having improved assembly and driving efficiency.
