Elastomer pads 13, 15 are molded on each half. The gaskets 13, 15 have two inflatable cavities. The first is the cavities 16, 18 provided in the corners away from the mouth on the bottom edge of the housing, through which the measuring tape wound in the housing is drawn out. These cavities extend to the outside of the elastomer gasket so that they are visible during normal use of the housing.
