Embodiment Construction

[0018] A preferred embodiment of the present invention is described as follows in conjunction with the accompanying drawings: According to the characteristics of Gigabit Ethernet full-duplex transmission mode, this embodiment proposes a method for transmitting information between the device sending end and the device receiving end using frame gaps, see figure 1 .

[0019] figure 2 It is a schematic diagram of system work information transmission in this embodiment. The sending end of the device transmits the clock phase of the sending end to the receiving end of the device, and the receiving end of the device can recover the clock phase of the sending end at the receiving end by using the ranging information stored locally. image 3 It is a diagram of the transmission process of ranging information in this embodiment. The high-frequency clock is used to count at the sending end of the device, and this count is N when the frame gap arrives 0 Transmitted to the receiving end...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for transmitting in-phase clock information by using frame gaps in Gigabit Ethernet. The method transmits the in-phase clock information, and first obtains the ranging information, that is, the distance between the sending end and the receiving end; the distance measuring information can be obtained by sending high-frequency clock counts between the sending end and the receiving end using the frame gap. The sending end of the device transmits the clock phase of the sending end to the receiving end of the device, and the receiving end of the device can recover the clock phase of the sending end at the receiving end by using the ranging information stored locally. The method utilizes frame gap transmission to improve bandwidth utilization; the transmission of information is not affected by packet flow and delay variation of packet switching in the Ethernet; the transmission method is simple and feasible.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for acquiring distance measurement information and in-phase clock information by using frame gaps to transmit clock information in Gigabit Ethernet. Background technique [0002] Gigabit Ethernet technology has become the mainstream technology of high-speed LAN. In the context of the ever-increasing demand for network bandwidth, it is of great practical significance to improve the bandwidth utilization of Gigabit Ethernet. [0003] Gigabit Ethernet supports full-duplex working mode. In full-duplex mode, some additional frame gaps (IPG, Inter-Packet Gap) can be inserted between Ethernet frames of the Gigabit Ethernet MAC sublayer. At gigabit transfer speeds, interframe gaps also take up a lot of bandwidth. If the frame gap can be used to transmit useful information, bandwidth utilization can be effectively improved. According to relevant information, there is no method to transmit the in-phase clock information by u...
